Long time no blog.
Etc etc etc... doing Public Relations is a 24 hour a day job. Mentioned this before. Thank you for your perseverance and patience. Let me reorganize. I'm not going to half-ass this blog and its content just because I need to fill the blog.
On a more promising note. Even in the blog's current inactivity, ACTIVITIES & PEOPLE are willingly hopeful of what this blog has to offer and soon, a flood of post will come.
Meaning? More SPONSORED & UNIQUE party experiences.
Plus some indie artist promos, comedy show previews, contest and tonnes of party pictures waiting to be unleashed.
Miss blogging like I used to. Guess that the reality of adulthood caught up with me.
Maybe not adulthood persay, more like the enculturalization of a globalized nation obsessed with capitalist ideals confronted with pseudo needs that are hedonistically created and maintained by the tyranny of the higher authority and the dangerously stagnant societal norms.
If you understood the above, carry on reading.
People as unique and indepth as you would surely want to know about hippies and modern escapism ideals.
Before I start this post. A warm thanks and shout out to the people at Epic Tribe (Malaysia's Psytrance Community) for organizing the screening of The Last Hippie Standing, a documentary by Marcus Robbin.
The Epic Tribe info slide presentation was refreshing :)

Here's a preview
I'm sure you can Google what the documentary is about. Or you can try and guess.
But what you can't Google is the pleasure of being able to enjoy the documentary with like minded people.
People in search, not for the NEGATIVES of what a hippy is branded for, but for the sense of freedom, joy and belonging one gets from such things.
As a citizen of this peaceful nation, we might be swayed by cultural norms and mass ideologies which sometimes contradict with the person within. A swerving from individuality which some hungers.
Everybody has a rebel, leader, hero, coward, man, women, old, young within their inner-self. We portray these personas on situational basis. On a need basis. On no basis at all maybe?
But some are unlucky, to have been mentally sculptured into a certain path of behavioral and mind set over years and years and years of internal and external conditioning.
You might have had a thought or two of how unique you are but on most days, you wake up knowing that the same life ordeals will repeat itself. Same shit everyday. No matter what you do, it's THE SAME SHIT EVERYDAY.
Maybe you can be content with this.
Or maybe you die wondering what you did as a person. What contributions you have made towards the world. And most importantly... towards yourself.
It is not about searching for the last hippy, or search for modern hippies, or even asking whether hippies evovle into some modern menifestation.
The core to the search IS FINDING YOURSELF.
Finding yourself as NOT a blip on the radar.
Finding yourself able to NOT depend on conformity.
Finding yourself NOT lost in the modern day madness.
Finding yourself as a person. One unique being. Different from the rest.
Acknowledged for whatever it is you choose to do. Admired for your good deeds. Disgusted by those who conform and leech-off societal pressures. Loved for the love you give and prosper on your own terms.
Finding that the core belief of those freaking crazy hippies...
LOVE, PEACE & HAPPINESS
Is actually for yourself.

All but one
To me... the music, the sub-cultures, the parties, the substances, the good and bad WILL NEVER SURPASS the ideals of being a unique individual and finding the purpose of my existence.
They are bonuses if you will, to my newborn interest to re-embrace the feeling I have and Dhaima always have...
What we adore from it is the mystery, mystique and adventures one would never find in normal circumstances.
Always wondered why I do not stick around on one thing. Thought I was the odd one.
Kept on asking...
Would I be alone if I can't tolerate the stupidity and cruelty of others?
Would I be less of whatever I could be if I don't go down this beaten silly path?
Is happiness dictated or pre-written?
Now I see that that there are other people like us. We walk and talk the same like the rest, but they know we are not. We know we are not...
In conclusion, we are meant to journey endlessly, searching, never conforming, avoiding societal norms and pressures... till we part and return to where we belong.
Peace, Love & Happiness to myself and those who seek this path.
Om shanti and farewell for now...
