Humour Me Recap ~ The Comedy Club

The madness have begun.

Malaysian Mega Sale is back and out to terrorize your discount driven hearts and minds in a frenzy of offers and promotions troughout the country.

Being an employee at one of the bigger outlets in Pavilion KL, my moolah-terrorizing efforts are kicked up a couple of notches. All efforts towards making you shop... and shop... and shop... and when you don't think you can't possibly shop no more, you'll buy a couple more things.

It's evil but delightful isn't it? Muahahahaha.

There is a request from one of our readers for local Psytrance parties. I'd suggest you contact The Epic Tribe people as for the time being, there are no official word on the next psytrance gathering. Maybe smaller more private ones will be held. I'm not sure, have to get in touch with the tribe.

Enough updates. Lets get to some comedy.

Recently, theCoolerexperience team was invited to attend a special preview of an upcoming stand up comedy night set to hit KL this month.

According to the official source...
International stand-up comedy is LIVE here in KL featuring the world's best comedians from all around the globe. With acts from Australia, UK, US, New Zealand, Canada, Europe and Asia, Kuala Lumpur is sure to vibrate with laughter.

So, If you're looking for out-loud laughs, you can bet your arse to find it in The Comedy Club KL in Velvet Underground, Zouk KL.

We're live only for 2 nights a month so be sure you get tickets to the FUNNIEST show in KL!
And so we went to the preview.

The verdict?

NICE... 2 international class comedians with localized Asian jokes, great comedy persona and a wide array of jokes with the bulk of it focussing towards racy adult humour. Then add a local comedian to the mix and you get aquality comedy gig for all types of stand-up comedy fans.

The local comedian addition might be of local-pro level, the main highlight is the international acts who have been in the asian and international comedy circuit and has a very well built act and speaciality.

If you have been tubing for international stand up comedians and their shows, The Comedy Club brings these people (or something close enough) to you.

At least when I was at the show, the glorious name of Dave Chappelle came up and I saw my first African-American stand-up comedian.

That to me is worth the money.

Check out this clip of the Comedy Club preview comedians in one of their previous shows.

Some pictures of the gig on the preview night.
